TABLE OF CONTENTS:
Why are you offering in-person worship at this time?
We want to serve people well. Many have expressed a need for the support of in-person ministry, or a conviction to gather for worship. NOT providing a live worship option prohibits these people from doing so. We believe, that it is prudent to serve those who are ready to meet in person, with appropriate modifications.
I don't feel comfortable attending...do you think I should?
No. We support your prayerful decision either way. If you're at risk, feeling unwell, or not yet comfortable venturing out, please stay home and worship with us online! We’re working even harder to keep providing a quality online option for those who choose to stay home at this time.
Then, we encourage everyone to make a few sacrifices to care for others (see below). Some steps may seem unimportant to you, but will serve others in attendance to Love Like Jesus.
Finally, reach out to someone who you haven't seen in awhile, and ask how you can serve them during this time.
What are you doing to make worship safer for everyone?

What are you doing to make worship safer for everyone?
- To serve our attendees and our community well, we’ll protect public safety by temporarily:
- Providing distancing through separated seating arrangements
- Offering hand sanitizer at entrances and throughout building
- Minimizing contact (avoiding handshakes, propping doors, no handouts, etc)
- Encouraging use of masks, and other recommended hygiene practices
- Electing NOT to pass an offering plate

Is this legal?
Yes. Governor Whitmer’s Executive Orders include an exemption for churches engaging in worship, and specific protections for all participants (see below).
Executive Order 2020-160, Section 14: “Consistent with prior guidance, neither a place of religious worship nor its owner is subject to penalty under section 17 of this order for allowing religious worship at such place. No individual is subject to penalty under section 17 of this order for engaging in religious worship at a place of religious worship.”
