Your first few weeks as a new group can set the tone for the rest of your time together. This is an exciting time for members of your group, but it can also be a bit intimidating. In this time, you will go from strangers to Connecting with One Another. This is where your group gets off the ground.

- When it comes time to share stories, your group will only be as vulnerable as you are. As they respond to your leadership they will open up. So tell your story first and be a little vulnerable.
- Try and make the environment as friendly and hospitable as possible, no matter if you're meeting at the church, in a coffee shop, or at a home.
- Connect with each person/couple in your group. Let them know they are welcome and you are interested in hearing what they have to say.
